As one of the oldest Camera Clubs in Scotland Ayr Photographic Society hopes you find our site both interesting and informative.
The club was founded in 1905 and although the member numbers from then have not survived their travel through history we do know that in 1911, 64 budding enthusiasts displayed work in the 3rd Annual Exhibition. These yearly events still take place to date being held in March as the last event in the syllabus of every season.
The original aims of the club were to promote the art of photography not only in Ayr but in the surrounding towns and villages of Ayrshire. With our current membership sitting at 72 we hope we have fulfilled this aim and that we will continue to do so for years to come.

Due to a limitation in members based on the size of our current premises no new memberships will be sold until September 16th 2010 however feel free to join us for your 2 free trail nights.
